Dr. Hillary Kinney is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who grew up skiing in Vermont, just miles away from the base of the Killington ski area. She graduated with her doctorate in dental medicine from the University of New England School of Dental Medicine.
As a dental student, Dr. Kinney was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society – a national dental society founded to recognize scholarship and character in the dental profession. She was also selected by her professors to receive the American College of Dentists Outstanding Student Leader award for demonstrating leadership and outstanding scholastic performance during her dental school career.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Kinney completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania before matriculating into residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During her residency, she was actively involved in research participating in multiple research projects and co-authorship of publications and presentations. In her final year of residency, Dr. Kinney was awarded the Kenneth M. Stern Award for academic excellence and clinical aptitude as an oral and maxillofacial surgery resident.
Dr. Kinney practices full-scope oral surgery with advanced training in sedation to ensure her patient’s comfort during procedures. Her clinical interests in oral surgery include benign pathology, dental implants, bone grafting and extractions.
When Dr. Kinney isn’t practicing oral surgery, she is on hikes with her husband Preston, daughter Harriet, and dog Esther. She is an avid snow skier and was a competitive ski racer growing up. Dr. Kinney is excited to build relationships within the community and provide the utmost exceptional patient care.
